Book - Revision

I really wanted to print the unique postcards on special book paper. I found it in a French dictionary from 1845. In this «dictionnaire français» the first letters are written in huge capitals. The design of the layout and the typeface has changed massively in the last 180 years. The content also comes from another time, translations can sometimes no longer be found. Terms that described life back then have disappeared, today hardly anyone would understand them. The coloring of the paper is just as unique as the prints I made on it. With the print technique, I printed letters or special characters or drew hieroglyphic-like fonts in monoprint.

So all levels are visible: the paper, which is 180 years old, as well as the text of the old dictionary, the new colors that play with the background of the old one and my staging of the new typeface.
